Being talked to in the morning before my coffee
What inspired you to join Dutchland?
I transferred to DDR from my old team because I was communting to Lancaster for work. It made sense to join a team that was close to my work, and had the same values as me.
What are you most excited for with DDR? What are you most nervous for?
I’m most excited to promote my knowledge and love of the sport in Lancaster county, all while alongside these wonderful people. I am nervous about making my 27/5, even though I can do it year after year.
What inspired your derby name and number?
My derby name was suggested to me by my former derby sister. She knew I liked Marvel and combining that with my last name made sense. I chose four since three (as in Wolverine’s claws) was already taken at the time.
What do you do outside of roller derby?
I read, journal, create and teach.
How long have you known how to skate?
I learned how to ice skate when I was three, and could roller skate since a child.
What is your favorite song to work out to?
Any old 90’s R & B song.
Where is your favorite place to visit?
I love to visit the woods, late in the afternoon when the air is crispy and cool.
Where do you hope to be with Dutchland by this time next year?
I really hope to be more of an instrumental player in my pack, as well as a more accomplished jammer.
