Knitting, cats, coffee, and a good glass of whiskey
Being interrupted while knitting, and waking up without coffee available
What inspired you to join Dutchland?
I met a lot of great people at different events held by Dutchland and transferring gave me the chance to step up my derby skills and be challenged to learn new skills
What are you most excited for with DDR?
To play my first game with the team since joining!
What are you most nervous for?
I’m nervous about my first time lining up as a jammer, even though I’ve done it before and know it will be fine
What inspired your derby name and number?
My mom suggested my derby name, and it seemed perfect for me. The number comes from a pretty great year, in 1977 Star Wars came out, and Led Zeppelin toured the United States, two of my favorite things!
What do you do outside of roller derby?
I try to hit the skatepark as much as I can and I help run the local CIB chapter. I also knit as much as I can!
How long have you known how to skate?
About 2 years, I had no idea how to skate when I showed up to my first derby practice.
What is your favorite song to work out to?
Any loud, aggressive bagpipe music. It gets me so amped up!
Where is your favorite place to visit?
Rhinebeck, New York. It’s home to one of the biggest knitting and fiber arts festivals in the country and I go every year. It’s such a beautiful town!
Where do you hope to be with Dutchland by this time next year?
On the track for my first game with the team, and back at practice working hard every day!
