What inspired you to join Dutchland?
I needed to find a new team after moving to this area, so I contacted Dash who I meet a few years ago from the girl that got me started in Roller Derby and asked when I could come check out the team.

What are you most excited for with DDR? What are you most nervous for?
Since I started with DDR I was asked to jam for the all-star team. I hadn’t really thought of myself as much of a jammer before even when I was jamming for my old leagues B team, so I’m excited for the chance to improve those skills. On the flip side, it is exactly what I’m most nervous about.

What inspired your derby name and number?
My roller derby name was a bit of a challenge to pick. I had a few variations of the name before settling on Kill ‘Em. The inspiration for the name is actually my last name of Kellom. Over the years when I would say my last name people would say “Ooh Kill ’em” really fast and it always sounded cool. My derby number was easier to pick. I took it off the FRC Robotics team I was a part of in high school for 4 years. The team number was 1640 and I had adapted it into my life for a few social media names and felt like I need to keep that number relevant in my life.

What do you do outside of roller derby?
Outside of roller derby I work as a server.

How long have you known how to skate?
I have been playing roller derby for a little over 3 years, but before I started the fresh meat program with State College my skating experience was middle school skate night and falling down in my driveway a lot.

What is your favorite song to work out to?
I can never pick just one song, but I’ll keep it to 2. Unstoppable by Atlas and Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons always get me pumped up and singing terribly.

Where is your favorite place to visit?
My favorite place to visit would be my grandparent’s place in the summer time. I used to go a lot as a kid and my sister and I would go out in the water almost every day to swim, water-ski, or go tubing. It was always a great time.

Where do you hope to be with Dutchland by this time next year?
With Dutchland next year I’d like to still be skating. Maybe taking on some coaching. I don’t really know, a lot can happen in a year.
