When did you start playing Roller Derby?
What positions do you normally play/like to play?
What do you love about Roller Derby?
There are so many things to love. The game itself, the nerves you have before a game, the team work that’s necessary, and learning to trust in yourself and others.
What do you love about Dutchland?
We are such a diverse group of women and yet we can all come together and make things happen. That’s unique and I’m proud to be a part of it.
Favorite Roller Derby moment?
That’s easy, my last scrimmage where I officially became a Dutchland roller. Dead Pull was born!! I was blocking in a game and I’m not sure how it happened but my finger ended up in another players mouth!
What is one piece of advice you could give to newer girls or those who are thinking about joining Roller Derby?
Do not be afraid to fall or try new things. You signed up, that’s the first step. Don’t give up on yourself; we won’t give up on you.
What is one thing that Roller Derby/Dutchland helped you achieve?
Trusting myself and others–that’s hard to do. But the friends you make along the way make it so much easier to achieve.
What has Roller Derby taught you?
To be yourself and try your best. It’s a great feeling.
Anything you’d like to say to your adoring fans?
